COMPANY PROFILE In 1967, Harley Swenson and Edward Hagen, both Professional Engineers and Registered Land Surveyors, founded Swenson, Hagen & Co., a civil engineering and land surveying firm specializing in providing land planning, site planning and design, municipal engineering and land surveying services to the Bismarck-Mandan area and surrounding community. Swenson, Hagen & Co. has been in the central North Dakota area for over 35 years and has played an active role in the growth and the development of the area. Our main emphasis is providing our services to meet the needs of our clients in these communities. Our prior experience with public and private developments in the Bismarck-Mandan area is a significant asset to any development project. Our current staff is a well-trained mixture of Professional Engineers, Registered Land Surveyors, a Certified Land Planner, CAD specialists and support staff. Our current principals are Harley Swenson, PE, RLS, Lon Romsaas, PE, Larry Smith, RLS, Mark Swenson, PE and Greg Feser, PE. Additional registered non-principals are Terry Baltzer, RLS, Todd Marschall, RLS, and David Patience, AICP. Swenson, Hagen & Co. uses AutoCAD to produce site plans, topographic maps, subdivision layouts, plats, graphic representation of survey data and detailed drawings. Survey data can be transferred to AutoCAD and be made available in several electronic media formats. We are familiar with the use and application of GIS database systems and can provide the necessary mapping, planning and location information. Our knowledge of the public land system and background experience in document research at various county Recorder's Offices and abstract research are strong assets for our Project Team. Swenson, Hagen & Co. has an excellent working relationship with city, county, state and federal government officials. We also have a positive working relationship with both local and regional contractors and area architects. We are very familiar with the City of Bismarck's site specific current master plan for water supply, sanitary sewer, zoning ordinances, storm water management and flood plain requirements.
